Ondo State To ALSO Introduce Land Use Charge

The Ondo government has chosen to follow the footsteps of Lagos State, by reviewing land use charges in the state.  The state says there will be amnesty for nonpayments, but the implementation will start once the inputs from the concerned are received.  The Lagos State government is in the loggerheads of residents over the land use rate increase in the state. After several protests and marches, the government headed by Akinwumi Ambode was soft running and deducting charges. However, activists insist that a reverse is enough.  However, the Government of the Ondo State is cautious, preventing meetings with property owners before entering the new law.
