A viral clip showing the bodies of the late Afropop singer, Ebony Reigns, and her friend Franca Kuri in a morgue, left the audience horrified. A mortuary worker can be seen touching and examining the severely injured bodies of both showing bruises and for Ebony a deep gash in the head.
The location of the morgue is unknown as well as the identity of the attendant.
It seems that there were more than two people involved in the insensitive act while another assistant was seen using a mobile device to film the incident.
The officer had already touched the body of Franklina Nkansah Kuri, who, together with an army officer, died alongside the musician in a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road on February 8, 2018.
It remains to be determined whether the incident occurred at the government hospital in Mankranso where the deceased bodies were initially taken after the accident. It is also unclear whether this was created as part of the officer's duties, and the fact that the law was filmed and broadcast has publicly disapproved of social media activists.
In the video, a man, presumed to be the head of the morgue at the Bechem government hospital, caressing corpses of Ebony Reigns and his friend, Franky Kuri, has provoked public outrage as many are clamoring for heads.
The guard was seen holding Kuri's head while simultaneously looking at her.
"Incredible! Life is too short," he said and let his head. "I took some pictures.
If I see it on social networks, I will hold you accountable because I will not share it, "said another person. Moments later, the same man was captured while stroking Ebony Reigns' breasts and partly privately, until the one taking footage asked him to remove his hands just to film his favorite part.
Ebony Reigns's father and his management have threatened to sue Bechem Government Hospital Mortuary.
