The Nasarawa State Chapter of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria suspended its endless strike which began on 16 February.
The union went on strike to pressure its demands for implementation of the promotion, annual increase, among others.
JUSUN President Jimoh Musa told the Nigerian news agency Lafia Thursday that the suspension followed an agreement reached between the union and the state government.
He stated that the state government, at a meeting attended by the head of the service, the court representatives and the union, agreed to set up a committee to examine the applications.
Musa said the committee that would have union representatives would advise the government on ways to solve the problems.
The chair said that the committee has one month to present its report.
Musa, who said that the union was suspending the strike, added that, “if after the window period of one month nothing was done, the members would continue with the strike.’’
While calling on its members to resume work immediately, the chairman call on the state government to be sincere in order to avoid any industrial disharmony in future.Räägi sõbrale... #AFRICA ... spill TEA ABOUT THE TOPIC ABOVE.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
