A Hunt for couple filmed having sex on beach in #Thailand

A couple were filmed having sex on a beach in Thailand - but could be sent to jail if they were caught. The police launched a manhunt for tourists, who were laughing at Dongtan Beach at 8 pm after a celebration.Their identity is unknown, but Pattaya's famous resort officials believe they are in western origin. Spectators told them that they had sex for more than three minutes before people started shouting to stop, and the couple was lost on the shore.

Police say the couple  have damaged the image of the popular tourist destination.
Police Colonel Apichai Krobpetch, superintendent at Pattaya police station, said:

”This happened in a public place where many tourists go to relax. The scene is in front of the Pattaya Marine Rescue Center.
”I do not know where the tourists come from but officers are pursuing them in order to protect the reputation of the area.”

Officials are now interviewing the lifeguard hut staff at Dongtan Beach from where the pair was taken.  Husband and wife are believed to be drunk. Officials are now reviewing the CCTV to track their footprints in the area and appealing to the public for more information. The tourists are facing up to 5,000 baht (around 115gbp) for public indecency or imprisonment if they are caught.

Pol Col Krobpetch added:

”Police will investigate this and prosecute the people involved. This is very negative for the area.
”We have spoken to many witnesses are we are pursing the offenders. It is a crime to have sex in public like this and they will be punished.’
