A Caretaker, 50-year-old man lands in prison custody for raping his neighbors three years old daughter to death in Katsina State.
The incident was said to have taken place in the local government of Funtua state when Sani allegedly rescues the victim in a nearby uncompleted building, closing his mouth and raping him. The victim's father, Ibrahim Abdullahi of Jabiri Quarters, Funtua, reported the incident at Central Police Station, Funtua on 12 October 2017, leading to the arrest of Sani. Sani and the victim's parents live in the same house in Funtua. The victim was reported to have died while raped. Police Prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado, told court on Thursday that Sani's offense was contrary to Section 283 and 221 of the penal code. However, Ado said that the investigation is still in progress in the case. He called on the court for a new date for the aforementioned case. The Magistrate court headed by Hajiya Fadila Dikko has issued a request to the prosecutor and permits the case on April 9, 2018 to mention and point out that Sani was sent to jail until now.
