Zambian born UK filmmaker, Rungano Nyoni has made the continent proud by winning an outstanding award for movie 'I Am Not A Witch' at the 2018 British Academy Film Awards to be held on February 18 at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

'I'm Not A Witch' is the first Zambian film to be screened in Cannes according to the BBC. Above all, 35-year-old, born in Zambia at the age of 9, said in a story based in Ghana, West Africa.

Regardless of the low budget of the movie, Rungano still got the story that he wants support from Ffilm Cymru and BFI (British Film Institute). It follows the trauma of an eight-year-old girl accused of witchcraft.
