The police injured Abuja's home of Senator Ikechukwu Obiorah to arrest him in his recent raid on the areas of the Daily Times

Senador Ikechukwu Obiorah said he abandoned his Abuja residence following an order by the Inspector-General of Police to arrest him after his illegal actions against the publishers and staff of the Daily Times of Nigeria.   The Daily Times said last week that Senator Obiorah led a team of police officers to arrest some of its personnel in Agidingbi areas over his ownership dispute with his publisher Fidelis Anosike.   The police ordered a full investigation into the action of Senator Obiorah led by DIG Hycent Dagala with ACP Njoku and SP Elizabeth Eze. As part of the investigation, the police visited the Senate's Abuja residence this morning but did not find him there.
