Obasanjo, registers as member of Coalition For Nigeria Movement(photos)

 Obasanjo has formally registered as a member of the Coalition For Nigeria Movement, the group he proposed in his letter to President Buhari. The group was launched at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, January 31st.

Obasanjo, in his letter to President Buhari, said Nigeria desperately needed a new political group. The former president said neither the Progressive All-Congress (APC) nor the Democratic People's Party (PDP) could give Nigeria the leadership it deserves. Former Cross Rivers State Governor Donald Duke, who has since indicated interest in running for the 2019 presidential election, is a member of the Coalition movement. There is speculation that the group will present Duke as presidential candidate in 2019.
