Six years, and still choosing each other.
Nollywood actress Mosun Filani Oduoye is celebrating her sixth wedding anniversary with her husband, Kayode Emmanuel Oduoye, marking another year of their marriage and the life they have built together.
The actress and her husband are keeping the milestone personal as they celebrate six years since they said “I do.”
For Mosun, the anniversary is another reminder of a relationship that has continued beyond the cameras and the public attention that comes with being a familiar face in Nollywood.
Marriage anniversaries can be easy to reduce to photographs and romantic captions, but six years represents something more tangible: shared seasons, changing circumstances and the ordinary work of building a life together.
And perhaps that is what makes wedding anniversaries like this one worth celebrating.
From Nollywood star to wife and mother
Mosun Filani became widely known for her work in Yoruba-language Nollywood productions, building a career as an actress before her life increasingly expanded beyond the screen.
Her marriage to Kayode has remained a relatively private part of her public life, with the couple choosing to keep much of their family life away from the constant spotlight.
Six years is not a lifetime, but it is long enough to have moved past the excitement of the wedding day and into the real business of partnership — building routines, navigating life and continuing to choose the person beside you.
Happy 6th wedding anniversary to Mosun Filani Oduoye and Kayode Emmanuel Oduoye. 🥂❤️
Six years down — what do you think makes a marriage last?
The actress got married in 2012, and chilled in Nollywood roles. In her anniversary message, she wrote,
'Thank you Jesus!!! It's six years of Gods faithfulness, goodness, mercy and grace. Six years of loving and being loved. Six years of being ur wife, friend, lover, sister, confidant and helpmate. Six years of marital bliss. It's six years, Happy anniversary to us'.Räägi sõbrale... #AFRICA ... spill TEA ABOUT THE TOPIC ABOVE.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
