Maryam Sanda, who has been remanded for killing her husband, who is the son of former PDP president Bilyamin Bello, told the court on Monday that she was three months pregnant. The alleged "killer" begged Judge Yusuf Halilu of the Abuja High Court sitting in Jabi to reconsider a previous application she had filed for bail pending determination of the charge of murder against her. Maryam's lawyer, Mr. Joseph Daudu, SAN, urged the court to take pity on her client who, in his opinion, needed proper medical care at this early stage of her pregnancy.
