Oprah and the Oprah Show gave me the opportunity to Give Big to a charity of my choice. I had 10 days. I was inspired by a beautiful young girl I had met named Rachel Nasuti. She has Epidermolysis Bullosa. With the help of some truly amazing friends and kind souls I went on the Oprah Show to announce that in 10 days we had raised $2.2 million for Epidermolysis research and to fund an EB research program at Standford University that had lost its grant.
The desire to be a part of something so much greater than me is a burning passion in my soul! Thank you @oprah for inspiring me and for brining out the best in all of us!
