Man faces 15 years in jail for catching cheating wife

In 2016, Sean Donis' wife, Nancy Donis, 38, told her she was going to dinner. Donis stayed behind to watch their 5 year old son. When he could not find his iPad, he activated the Find My iPhone application to locate it. . . The software showed that the electronic device was moving to an unknown location; he had the impression that his wife had taken him, and he decided to follow. He arrived at a house and opened the unlocked door. . . On the second floor, he found his wife in bed with his boss, Albert Lopez, 58 years old. With his iPhone, he recorded two short videos in bed. The New Jersey man received a letter last July informing him that a grand jury had charged him with stealing crime and illegally monitoring the April 2016 incident. . . "I feel it's unfair what they do to me," said 37-year-old Donis at the New York Post in September. "It's like I'm being punished twice." He appeared in court in September, where he pleaded not guilty. His second appearance occurred on Friday. . . "I was scared," Lopez testified as Donis caught him in bed with his wife. "I kept telling him, you have to get out of here," Lopez told the hearing panel on Donis' burglary case. . . The incident left Lopez traumatized. "I could not go to bed, I had repeated memories of what had happened, I started to cross the house and check all the doors and make sure they were locked." he said. . . Lopez also noted that Donis's wife said they were separated, and he thought Donis was out of the picture. The husband's lawyer, Howard Greenberg, told the jury that the husband "deserved a medal," not a prison sentence, for discovering his wife's infidelity without physically harming his rival. . . However, despite the fact that Lopez slept with Donis' wife, prosecutor Nabeela Mcleod claimed that Lopez was a victim - a victim of Donis' break-in at his home and his registration without Donis' consent (Donis shared the videos with his wife's relatives). He is now facing a maximum possible sentence of 15 years in prison
