A statement by the governor's secretary, Isiaka Sola Gold, notes that 19 commissioners, 16 special advisers, seven special special assistants and eight special assistants were affected by the dissolution.
According to the Nigerian news agency NAN, Governor Ahmed ordered the commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their ministries.
He quoted Ahmed to assure citizens that additional measures had been put in place to support government enterprises, pending the reconstitution of the state executive board.
Gold said the governor thanked former executive board members, special advisers and assistants for their service and contributions to the state.
The governors wished the best of luck to the former commissioners, advisers and assistants in their future engagements.
