Nigerians and Ghanaians have apparently rivalry, especially on social media and music. Earlier in the year, Mr. Eazi's statement that Nigerian Afrobeat music came from Ghana did not go well with many people on social media. He has faced a ton of backlash since then.
More recently, Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale was in the media for stating that he did not see Wizkid as a superstar and that Nigerians came to see him on social media.
Speaking to Hip TV, Mr. Eazi explained that in the end, there is no real hatred because we are all Africans. He also appeased the fears that Nigerians would not want to have anything to do with him as he told the story of when he went to Benin and received a lot of love.
