'Luther Vandross didn't come out as gay because he didn't want to upset the world' - Patti Labelle open her mouth

Patti Labelle has outed late R&B legend, Luther Vandross. On the recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Patti told Andy Cohen,

“We talked about [his being in the closet]. Basically, he did not want his mother to be...although she might have known, but he wasn’t going to come out and say this to the world. And he had a lot of lady fans and he told me he just didn’t want to upset the world.”

 Is she right to do this?
