Steven Gerrard found himself in the midst of a social media storm when he shared a photograph of his daughter's birthday present to Instagram.

The 37-year-old former Liverpool star splashed out on an 18 carat gold iPad, complete with personalised engraving, for daughter Lourdes' six birthday.
