Aluko’s New York penthouse sold for $36m

 

 Wanted Nigerian oil tycoon Kola Aluko’s One57 penthouse has finally found a buyer.  An unnamed buyer finally bought the apartment at a foreclosure auction for $36 million, Bloomberg reports.

 Aluko bought a penthouse at Billionaires' Row 2014 for $ 51 million. Since then, however, he has failed to pay mortgages and property taxes and became involved in the money laundering scheme.  The apartment was initially set up on an auction block in July, but it was postponed after an Alu creditors demanded $ 83 million worth of jet fuel and gasoline.
