The University of Nairobi was unrestrictedly closed Tuesday morning following the failure of students over the past week of a police attack that left 27 students with injuries.
"The UON Senate today closed the university with immediate effect due to the deteriorating security situation. Students were asked to release the halls with immediate effect but no later than 9:00 am," read tweet from the institution, the county of Digital News.
