Tell Taiwan President Not To Transit Through Our Territories – China Tells US

#mynameiskay

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Friday the United States that it would not allow Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen to pass through his territory on the way to and from the Taiwanese diplomatic allies in the Pacific Ocean. Tsai leaves Saturday for a week long trip to three island allies - Tuvalu, Solomon Islands and Marshall Islands - through Honolulu and Guam. It comes only two weeks before the US will visit Chinese President Donald Trump. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Geng Shuang said China made "a rigorous representation" for the US and therefore urged the United States to strictly adhere to the "one China" policy. "As for the issues of Taiwan's transition across the United States, I think the real reason for transit is obvious," he told a daily news briefing. China is deeply suspicious of Tsai, who thinks it wants to encourage the formal independence of Taiwan's self-managing island, which Beijing considers as semi-circular province, which does not meet the conditions for relations between states and states.
