Barcelona will not play a move for midfielder Schalke Leona Goretzke, who was also linked with Manchester United.
The 22-year-old has made over 120 appearances for the Bundesliga, and is widely considered one of the most demanding looks in Germany.
Club scout Ariedo Braida watched Goreztku in action, but did not feel he was still fit to elite demands for playing at Camp Nou.
"It must be a good player, but it is too early for Barcelona," said Braida.
"I'm traveling around the world looking for great talent, but our demands are extremely high."
Goretzka won 10 caps for Germany, achieving one goal, and was also linked to Bayern München.
