Tyler Perry, in a video on Facebook, announced his pledge of $1 million to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
He used the video to defend pastor Joel Osteen who has come under fire for not opening up his megachurch sooner to those in need of shelter. He said he personally knows the Osteens and knows for sure that they aren't bad people.
He said he's giving $250,000 of the one million to the Lakewood evangelist.
