Nigeria’s Exit From Recession Another Promise Fulfilled – APC

#Nigeria
The Congress of All Progressives (APC) says that the country's exit from the recession is another campaign promise. On Tuesday, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced that the country's economy grew 0.55% after five negative outlooks. In a statement Wednesday, APC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi said the efforts of the Buhari administration to revive the economy have begun to "bear fruit." The party also praised the national assembly for working with the executive in improving the economy. "Nigerians will remember that during the 2015 elections, the APC promised to curb corruption, restore the economy and ensure the security of the nation. We congratulate the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for the economic recovery efforts that have clearly begun to bear fruit "the statement said. "The APC also commends the national assembly as it continues to work with the executive to improve the economy and other areas of national life. "Unfortunately, the country's exit from the recession was in tandem with the current administration's forecast that the country will experience economic growth in 2017. "This is another demonstration that the administration led by President Buhari APC is keeping the promises. The APC thanks the Nigerians for their patience, understanding and support for President Buhari's administration while the economy was in recession. "While much work remains to be done, we assure Nigerians that management remains focused on their efforts to keep the economy on the road to growth." The party called for "continued patience and cooperation from the Nigerians" while the Buhari government "works to build a solid new foundation, a credible image and get the country out of present difficulties."
