Jurgen Klopp can get on the January transfer market to ensure Liverpool remains competitive on multiple fronts.
The Reds endured the mixed start of the 2017-18 campaign, with the open opening before the international break, after which she nodded gently after him.
Defensive weaknesses are still exposed at home and abroad, with 5-0 mauling in the hands of 10 men in the hands of Manchester City followed by a draw against Sevilla and Burnley.
Klopp is, however, happy enough with those currently available and will continue in their efforts to get the best results out of them until he can re-evaluate the situation in Anfield when the next opportunity opens in the New Year.
The German coach told reporters: "From today's perspective, we have resources, but we'll see how it is in January.
"What is my alternative - to go to Leicester on Tuesday with a white flag and tell them if they will go to the semifinals in January then do that because we do not want to be part of it?
"We had several different lines and everything was good in this competition in the last few years when we went to the final and semi final.
"At one point we did not have the chance to match the strongest side, and many of England's legends said I did not respect cup competitions, which is obviously not so nice.
"But at the moment we have a team that will play at different competitions and get started as much as possible. That's a plan.
"The contest was good, the final was good when we played there. The semi-finals against Southampton last year were a bad moment for us, that's true, but we could not change it.
"We will see that we are in January, but at this point I feel comfortable to use players and bring players into different games."
Klopp faced a continuous examination of the summer time due to the failure to bring another central half and Liverpool missed the characters of Southampton's defender Virgil van Dijk.
He spoke upset but could decide to solve the problem when he could do it in January.
