Omolara Aluko

Omolara Aluko, a family planning and contraception educator, was the winner of this year's "120 Under 40", released by the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health. The award recognizes a new generation of family planning leaders, who have immensely contributed to the awareness of the general public and the benefits of family planning. Omolara, a DKT Nigeria team member, was particularly instrumental in national development and implementation of radio and TV programs that discuss family planning and contraception in a refreshing, interesting and interactive form. These radio and TV programs provide valuable information on various contraceptive methods, addressing side effects, and the management of contraceptive myths and mistakes. These programs have positively impacted the thousands of Nigerian lives and even won the DKT Nigeria radio station's free radio prize award. Congratulates Omolari on recognizing her hard work at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation community.
