Barcelona’s Salary Cap Has Risen By 171 Million Euros In 3 Years

Data released earlier this week confirms that the Catalan giants charge nearly 500m euros during the season. According to figures published by LaLige, Blaugrana currently has € 499.7 million in the cashiers allocated for the player's payroll, bonuses and salary for the coaching team. These latest figures are a reflection of Blaugran's improvement in fiscal position, with the club's salary cap rising for astonishing 171 million euros over the past three years, thanks in part to Neymar's sales. This is why they have adopted Real Madrid as Spain's most financially for the first time since the introduction of centralized television rights. Just three years ago, Los Blancos spent up to 20m euros more than their rivals, but they followed the Camp Nou club for 10.5m euros, with a 2017/18 489.2m limit. As for the rest of La Liga, Atletico Madrid is the only side that currently exceeds € 200m in salary, and the club's cashier mostly gained strong domestic and continental performances. Sevilla and Valencia round off the top five clubs in Spain, both of which will spend more than 100m euros in salary this year. Meanwhile, Villarreal and Atletico are the best for the rest, while the data confirm that Getafe is the lowest consumer of the league, to 28.9 million euros. In the meantime, exhibitors of Girona, have a salary of 31 million euros.
