Somizi and Bonang fall out is old news.
Somizi drags Bonang Matheba all the way to her village in Mafikeng, due to Bonang’s memoir.
The drama started when South Africa’s media guru Phil Mphela appeared on SABC 1 show Real Goboza to attribute Somizi’s fame to his then-friendship with Bonang Matheba, and this upset Somizi.
Bonang kept mum on Idols judge in the dark, till her poorly-edited book, From A to B, was released.
Here’s what she said of him:
“Somizi Didn’t Even Realise Why I Had Stopped Friends With Him. He Thought It Was Because Of Something He Thinks I Think He Did…”
The whole of South Africa shamed Bonang Matheba over the mediocre book, and Somizi used that opportunity to get back at Bonang: he mocked the book, too.
Now, he shutting down all claims that his rise to fame was because of his friendship with the media superstar. “No [Phil Mphela]. Idols made me a bigger star not Bonang no no no,” he set the records straight.
