After posting a creepy 12-minute video about her battle with mental illness, Sinéad O’Connor is “safe” and surrounded by loved ones, according to a Facebook post made on her behalf early Tuesday.
The post was made “to let everyone who loves her know she is safe and she is not suicidal.”

After posting a creepy 12-minute video about her battle with mental illness, Sinéad O’Connor is “safe” and surrounded by loved ones, according to a Facebook post made on her behalf early Tuesday.
The post was made “to let everyone who loves her know she is safe and she is not suicidal.”
“She is surrounded by love and receiving the best of care. She asked for this to be posted knowing you are concerned for her,” the post read. “I won’t respond to any questions, so please understand. I hope this comforts those of you were concerned.”
In the disturbing video, posted last Thursday, the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer chokes up as she describes her toxic battle with three mental illnesses.
“I’m fighting and fighting and fighting … to stay alive every day,” a weepy O’Connor said from a Travelodge motel in Hackensack. “For two years, my entire life has revolved around just not dying, and that’s not just living.”
She added, “Mental illness, it’s like drugs, it doesn’t give a s–t who you are, and equally what’s worse, it’s the stigma, it doesn’t give a s–t who you are.”
