The Nigerian artist, Laolu Senbanjo, who worked with Beyonce on his Lemonade album gave a TED Talk, emphasizing that he was only one of the millions of artists on the African continent and that each artist had a Story to tell.
Laolu gave a TED Talk, titled “Sacred Art of the Ori” at the TED2017 Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, CA in April 2017. He shared his life’s experiences; making a life altering decision to give up his profession as a Human Rights Lawyer to chase his dream of doing Art full time in New York.Laolu also stressed the importance of African art as being beyond the pieces, you can get up at the Harlem market in New York. He noted that the African continent is blessed with many artists, each with a unique story to tell. Watch the talk below.
