A 23-year old woman, Rose James, was sentenced to 2 months imprisonment for getting pregnant for another man while still married, at Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja
NAN reported that Rose’s husband had reported the matter at the Police Station, complaining that his wife committed adultery and got pregnant for another man.
She explained that it was her husband’s fault as he was promiscuous and does not treat her well. She said, “my husband does not treat me right, but this new man does, he buys clothes and other things.’’
While pleading for mercy, she told the court that she had informed her husband’s family that she wanted to divorce him.
