Radar Online reports that the man is suing Sheen.
Under California law, it’s illegal for an HIV-positive person to engage in consensual sex without a condom if there is intent to transmit the virus. If he’s found guilty of doing this, Sheen could be sentenced up to eight years behind bars, in addition to fines and court fees.
New York City attorney Peter Gleason told Radar Online that: “Sheen could be on the hook for millions. You’re talking about pain and suffering, mental anguish and future medical costs.”
Recall that in 2015, Sheen came out publicly as HIV-positive during an interview with the Today Show. At the time, he said the diagnosis was a “turning point” in his life and claimed that he had paid millions of dollars to blackmailers over the years who had threatened to reveal his status.
Also in 2015, Sheen settled out of court with a man who claimed the actor gave him herpes during a gay romantic rendezvous in 2011.
The 51-year-old iconic actor is yet to comment on this latest reported lawsuit by Radar Online.
