Ryan Seacrest is upset that Katy Perry will take home $25m in her first season on the show allegedly.
Ryan has been the host of the popular series since its launch back in 2002, and while he reportedly earns around $10 million per season, Katy Perry's $25 million offer puts him in the shade.
Sources say Ryan is considering quitting the show. Richard Rushfield who authored American Idol: The Untold Story said: '[He] was suddenly asking himself why he would come back for a 16th season at a salary [much smaller than that] of the newcomer judge.'Ryan has been the host of the popular series since its launch back in 2002, and while he reportedly earns around $10 million per season, Katy Perry's $25 million offer puts him in the shade.
Katy Perry during an interview with a radio station she bragged about her earnings saying: 'I’m really proud that, as a woman, I got paid. And you know why? I got paid more than pretty much any guy that’s been on that show.'
