ANGELINA JOLIE AND BRAD PITT RELEASE FIRST OFFICIAL STATEMENT TOGETHER

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have released a joint statement, asserting that they plan to keep details of legal proceedings away from the public domain in order to protect their six children.


"The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification," the couple said in a statement obtained by CNN.

Jolie filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences. She requested physical custody of their six children, giving Pitt joint legal custody and visitation rights, but Pitt requested joint custody. They are said to currently have a voluntary temporary custody agreement in place that allows Pitt supervised visitation with the children.
