Tika Sumpter has revealed the identity of her baby’s fathered as her Have and Have Not’s co-star Nick James (“Officer Justin,” for fans of the show). Tika chatted with Fit Pregnancy about why she decided to keep the baby news.
“I didn’t want to hear, ‘Who’s the dad?'” said Sumpter, “Social media can be harsh, and I’m a mama bear, protective of my family. So that’s why I waited to tell people, including some of my friends.”
Turns out, she had good reason to keep it a secret. Twitter popped off about the fact that her baby daddy is a white man:
