Summer turned 2 on Saturday, August 20, and Genie ina Bottle crooner celebrated her little girl’s big day with a Super Mario Bros.-themed bash.
X-Tina and her little bae were dressed as the red-hatted video game plumber for the festivities, while the singer’s fiance Matthew Rutler donned Luigi’s green cap and overalls. The two were joined at the party by Aguilera’s 8-year-old son with ex-husband Jordan Bratman, Max, who sadly did not come dressed as Yoshi.
“[Max] has inspired Summer to be a little daredevil herself,” the red-headed singer told Us Magazine of her children’s relationship.
The celebrations included a bounce house, an inflatable slide, a “play zone” and a puppet theater and took place in the backyard of the couple’s Beverly Hills home.
“She felt loved and special,” Aguilera added of Summer’s big day.
“I get so happy seeing the strong and loving relationship they have,” she continued, talking about her fiance and daughter. “I know she’s getting the safe environment I never had growing up.”
