Alakija Speaks On How She Fought The Legal Battle Over Her $1.73 Billion Fortune

 Folorunsho Alakija is on the August edition of Forbes, the second richest woman of African decent behind Isabel dos Santos and the fourth richest person in Nigeria , with an estimated net worth of $1.73 billion.
In the interview with Peace Hyde, she highlights her journey from  being a secretary to building Famfa Oil and she speaks on 11 year battle with the Nigerian government when they took 50% of her stake in the largest deep offshore oil discovery in Nigeria.

“There were a lot of sleepless nights and battles. Suddenly we became the plague, friends stopped picking up our calls and people were asking why we could not be content with 10 percent”, she said.
