Chinelo Okparanta Awarded Best Lesbian Fiction At The 26th Annual LAMBDA Literary Awards @LambdaLiterary

 

 

Chinelo Okparanta won the Lesbian Fiction Award for her debut novel, ”Under the Udala Trees” at the 26th Annual LAMBDA Literary Awards.

 The Lambda award celebrates excellence in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender literature.
The novel was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in the United States.
 The plot tells the story of love and  the dangers of being homosexual  in a country like Nigeria.
