She repeatedly asked Zinnia, “have you ever seen me smoking?”- accusing her of not meaning well for her and trying to taint her image.
The interview was going fairly well until the host asked the singer to address rumours that her first child was fathered by her manager not husband.
Taking things further, the host then asked the mum-of-two if she felt artistes should be role models to the public. To which Omawumi didn’t particularly agree with saying she doesn't want anyone “to come and put pastor work on my head.”
Zinnia then went for the jugular by asking the singer how she separates her smoking and drinking lifestyle from her motherly side.
"You see me as an artist, I am contributing what I can. I make music the way that I should and I come here and honour your invitation and then you sit down and talk about my smoking & drinking to people that are listening. And you're supposed to mean me well, when these people are supposed to be the ones that are buying my music. Now, when you say that sort of thing, do you mean me well? You can't ask me to kill a rumour that you are not sure about...as a rumour, you need to go and dig and get your facts right before you ask somebody something ...and that is the end of this interview," Omawumi said as she walked out of set.
