 Fifty Shades of Grey lead actress, Dakota Johnson admits that show business can be “f***ing brutal” for “actresses of a certain age.”
In a new interview with Vogue, reports The Daily Mail, the 26-year-old actress chimes on ageism in Hollywood, seeing firsthand how difficult things can get for older actresses via the experiences of her motherWorking Girl star Melanie Griffith, 58, and grandmother, The Birds‘ Tippi Hedren, 85.
“Why isn’t my mother in the movies? She’s an extraordinary actress,” says Johnson, who’sfather is Don Johnson of Miami Vice fame. “Why isn’t my grandmother in the movies? This industry is f***ing brutal.”
However, Johnson does admit that having famous parents did help kickstart her career. “Do I think it opened more doors? Yeah,” she says. “More people know my name.”
