Genevieve Nnaji, a Nigerian actor, director, and producer, had her first public appearance in months on Saturday night at the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND) in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. She spoke on how to promote the growth of Africa's creative and cultural sectors.Genevieve addressed the audience of delegates regarding the contribution of the film industry to African development.
The event, which took place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, also featured speeches by Idris Elba and Chimamanda Adichie.
From November 25–27, 2022, creatives from all around Africa and the diaspora will assemble at the Creative Africa Nexus.
"Creativity thrives as an ecosystem and not alone," she said, adding that the sector's present $5 billion yearly contribution to the African economy could increase by a factor of four.
The actress also made her first social media post in months, sharing a picture of herself wearing a blue Tiffany Amber dress and appearing as elegant and regal as ever.

But she made an appearance at the Creative Africa Nexus 2022 as one of the speakers at the events.
The gathering of Africa's top thinkers aims to highlight the variety of abilities present on the continent and in the diaspora.
Yemi Alade, a well-known musician from Nigeria, is slated to be the event's headlining act.
