 At the reopening of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Asa gave a superb performance of her well-known protest song, "Fire of the Mountain."

Asa, a Nigerian recording artist whose real name is Bukola Elemide, sang her well-known song "Fire on the mountain" at the reopening of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited on Tuesday, July 19, and it quickly went viral online.


President Muhammadu Buhari, who unveiled the new project, was among the many elites and dignitaries present at the ceremony.


At the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, Buhari, who was joined by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other dignitaries, referred to the NNPC Limited as the greatest national oil firm in Africa.


In addition to providing energy to the world, he added that the new company would foster sustainable growth in other economic areas.
