"Penis Seat" reserved for men in Public Transport? (Photos)

A certain seat on Mexico’s Metro system known as the ‘penis seat’, the plastic is moulded into a man’s chest and groin area, complete with belly button, nipples and flaccid penis.

Video from the public transport shows people sitting down without looking first, only to leap up again when they felt something unexpected between their legs.

Mexico City Metro went viral, a sign next to it reads: ‘It’s uncomfortable to sit here but it doesn’t compare with the sexual violence that women suffer in their everyday lives.’

The video ends with the statistic: ‘9 out of 10 women in Mexico City have been victims of some form of sexual violence.’
