Bishop Oyedepo's reaction to addition of Islamic Studies in school curriculum

Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of Living Faith Church, has kicked against the federal and state governments against attempting to compel secondary school students of Christian backgrounds to offer Islamic Studies or Arabic Studies.

According to Dailypost, Bishop Oyedepo gave the warning immediately after an emergency meeting held by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, in Lagos on Thursday. 

Addressing newsmen at the PFN Headquarters in Isolo, Lagos, Oyedepo said government had no right to force subjects on anybody. 

He commented that by stopping Christian Religion Studies CRS, at the Senior Secondary School level, it automatically meant that it would not be embraced at the tertiary institutions.

Nicole Kidman reveals filming sex scenes for Big Little Lies left her traumatized and "humiliated"

In a recent interview with W Magazine, Nicole Kidman said the shocking sex scenes left her with bruises and she felt "humiliated" after filming.

 Her co-star Alexander Skarsgård also disclosed in a different interview that shooting the scenes took a toll on him and his co-star and they developed a coping mechanism that required checking up on each other off set.

Speaking to W about the effect the scenes had on her, Nicole said:

"I was just lying there, naked in half-torn underwear. I remember lying on the floor in the bathroom at the end of a difficult scene, and I just wouldn't get up in-between takes."

She added:

I was just lying there, basically naked in half-torn underwear, and Jean-Marc Vallée (the director) would come over and place a towel over me. It was very hard. At times it felt dangerous and really upsetting, and I would go home afterwards and I would feel - I would keep on a very brave face at work and then I would go home and I didn't realise how much it had penetrated me."

The award-winning actress previously admitted to taking pain medication after being left bruised from the violent scenes. She told US Vogue that her husband Keith Urban, 49, was distressed to see her return home from filming "covered in deep, massive bruises".

She said: "He was devastated seeing it but then he would say, ''But I have an artist wife!''" 

Alexander discussed his troubled character in the drama series and disclosed the coping mechanisms he and his co-stars developed to "shake off" the intensity on set.
He told Vanity Fair:

Man marries his best friend 20 years after they met for the 1st time in Preschool

Matt Grodsky and Laura Scheel met in Preschool and reconnected back in High school and eventually got married in December 2016!  Matt said;

"Laura and I met in preschool. One of my very first memories is of being 3 years old and standing up in front of my pre-school class, declaring that I would marry her someday.

As kids, Laura taught me how to ride the swings, draw rolling hills, and the 'right way' to properly eat string cheese. We have fond memories of playing hide-and-go-seek, chasing after each other on the playground, and mischievously staying up during nap time. I was enamored with Laura as a child, and I still am to this day

Eventually, we lost touch upon entering our Elementary School days and for the next seven years, our family's annual Christmas cards was the only way we ever saw each other's faces. 

It wasn't until High School that we reconnected by happenstance through a mutual friend. Within two weeks, we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend. We continued to date through out all of High School, even though we went to different schools. 

We even stuck together long-distance while attending colleges in different states. We remained a resilient couple until May 23rd, 2015 when I decided to stay true to my preschool pledge and make Laura my wife. I proposed to her at the place it all began... our preschool classroom."

Venus Williams Figured in fatal car crash that killed 78yr old man

 Venus Williams caused a car accident that sent a 78-year-old man to an ICU unit where he kicked the bucket 14 days later ,according to a police report obtained by TMZ Sports.

The driver of the other car -- the wife of the victim -- told cops she was approaching an intersection westbound in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on June 9 when Venus' northbound SUV suddenly darted into the intersection. The other driver says there was no time to stop and she T-boned Venus' vehicle.
Venus told cops she was trying to make it through the intersection but there was a traffic backup and she had to slow down to a crawl, with her car exposed in the intersection.
The driver's husband, Jerome Barson, suffered head trauma and was taken to a hospital and placed in ICU. He never recovered and died 2 weeks later. Barson's wife was also taken to the hospital with broken bones and other injuries, but survived ... according to her attorney Michael Steinger.
Cops say Venus caused the accident. According to the police report, "[Venus] is at fault for violating the right of way of [the other driver]."
Police say in the report there was no evidence Venus was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They also say there's no evidence she was distracted by an electronic device.
We reached out to Williams for comment -- so far, no word back

The Queen receive an 8% increase in income from public funds, after the Crown Estate's profits rose by 24m.

The Sovereign Grant, which pays for the salaries of her household, official travel and upkeep of palaces, is to increase by more than 拢6m in 2018/19.

It comes as accounts revealed the Queen's official net expenditure last year increased by 2m, to almost 24m.

Sir Alan Reid, Keeper of the Privy Purse, said the Queen represented "excellent value for money".

He said: "When you look at these accounts, the bottom line is the Sovereign Grant last year equated to 65p per person, per annum, in the United Kingdom.

"That's the price of a first class stamp.

Jay Z's  4:44 album was dropped exclusively on Tidal, a music streaming service owned by Jay Z and some other music artists.

This is Jay Z's 13th studio album and it's personal as Beyonce's Lemonade.  Jay Z revealed quite a lot, including admitting that he cheated on his wife, Beyonce and it affected her and their child, Blue Ivy. He said it took Blue being born for him to realize the value of his marriage.
He raps about that infamous elevator fight with Solange and kind of acknowledged that it had to do with him cheating. He called out his former best friend Kanye West, OJ Simpson, Rapper Future and more.

Following his revelations, the Beyhive went in on the rapper specifically because he cheated on their queen. The Beyhive aside, a lot of people have praised the album as a work of genius and one of the best in recent times.

The first song on the album is titled Kill Jay Z and it makes reference to the death of the former way of spelling his name without the dash. The new spelling will now be JAY-Z, all in capital letters and with a dash.

Calling out Kanye West in the first Song, Jay Z said: "Ye' has changed. You dropped outta school, you lost your principles. I know people backstab you, I feel bad too. But this fuck everybody attitude ain't natural. But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe."

Addressing the 2014 elevator fight with his sister-in-law Solange, Jay Z confirmed in the "Kill Jay Z" track that she attacked him because he cheated on her sister and refused to acknowledge his fault.

He rapped: "You egged Solange on. Knowin' all along, all you had to say you was wrong."

 In the track Family Feud, he makes reference to Becky, a name Beyonce mentioned in one of her songs, "Sorry", from the Lemonade album when she said, "better call Becky with the good hair".

Jay Z raps: "Yeah, I'll f*ck up a good thing if you let me / Let me alone, Becky / A man that don't take care his family can't be rich."

He continued in the track 4:44 "Look, I apologize, often womanize / Took for my child to be born / See through a woman's eyes / Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles / Took me too long for this song,"

He addresses his infidelity on the track titled  "Kill Jay Z". He said he could have lost his family from his cheating ways. He went on in the same track to shade rapper Future for letting his relationship with Ciara end.
