Former Skid Row singer, Johnny Solinger has died at the age of 55 following a battle with liver failure.
The rock star passed away on Saturday, June 26, just a month after revealing to fans he had been diagnosed with the disease.
Skid Row’s official Instagram page posted a tribute to the Solinger on Saturday that read, “We are saddened to hear the news of our brother Johnny Solinger. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans. Godspeed Singo. Say hello to Scrappy for us,” it read and signed “much love” from members, Rachel Bolan, ZP Theart, Snake Sabo, Rob Hammersmith and Scotti Hill.
Before his death, a GoFundMe was reportedly set up by a friend of Solinger’s, which had raised over $16,000 for Solinger’s medical bills.
Solingeringer joined the popular band in 1999 as a replacement for Sebastian Bach. He said farewell to the group in 2015 and was replaced by Tony Harnell.
Tributes have continued to pour in for the late Skid Row singer from his fans on social media.
