Mai Atafo, one of Africa's most sought-after fashion designers, shared essential business and life tips on "Life Lessons with Betty Irabor".
The bespoke tailor behind the Atafo brand addressed a number of topics. He talked about leaving his elevated position in a high paying job to take a job that paid him far less than he ventured into the fashion industry. He talked about being featured on Beyoncé's website after the release of Black Is King, and the impact this had on his brand. He also spoke about pandemic survival and the benefits of the pandemic.
The fashion designer went further on his personal life and the crazy rumors about his sexuality.
When Mai talked about quitting his job at a bank to apply for a job at Genevieve Magazine, a company where hostess Betty Irabor is the CEO, he said he knew what he wanted and made up his mind to do what it takes, even if it means being a little uncomfortable.
He remembered applying to Genevieve Magazine to be a fashion editor and having no experience in the fashion or pattern business. He also remembered the question Betty Irabor asked when he applied for the position.
Mai, who interestingly still refers to Betty Irabor as "MD" even though he hasn't worked for her in years, stated that he made a choice to humble himself and serve, and he did just that even when he did Had to deal with difficult issues while filming for Genevieve Magazine.

The key is : Learn how to BE HAPPY BY YOURSELF FIRST.
Because a human being that is happy on his/her own will never settle to be miserable with someone else.
When you find happiness on your own then you will be able to spread it and share it with someone else.
