Janelle Monáe remains unstoppable as she slays on the latest issue of SHAPE magazine.
For the September cover, she opens up on moving forward, starring in the timely film Antebellum¸ and why she’s taking on a new role as a social activist in a global pandemic. Monáe looked like a masterpiece as she dons next-to-nothing while recreating the famous painting ‘The Birth Of Venus’ by Sandro Botticelli.
The original painting depicts Roman goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown
#JanelleMonae is blurring the lines between actor and activist—and she’s not stopping anytime soon. “Being Black, especially during this time, for me, is heavy. It’s traumatic, and all I want to do is figure out how I can be of help to my community.” #linkinbio for what empowers Janelle to stay healthy, what propels her as a change maker, and how we can all learn the art of living well,” the publication shared on Instagram.

📎 The key is : Learn how to BE HAPPY BY YOURSELF FIRST. Because a human being that is happy on his/her own will never settle to be miserable with someone else. When you find happiness on your own then you will be able to spread it and share it with someone else. ... CRITIC ALSO 🖋️ spill TEA ☕ Easy on Shade 💣
