Na lie be this one o. Come and ask me and my brothers. Father beat, mother beats, uncles and aunty join hands too but we are always made to understand why we were been beaten back then in Yaba. We can easily look back and laugh now. We are not complaining anymore and yes we have moved with the trend as we don't believed in spanking but we are Africans. We don't spare the rod. But believe me it help us growing up back then. We from the 70s and 80s knows different. Ways of passing messages and points differs anyways. I have stories and experiences on those that were beaten and those that were not. The ending differs for both side.

I disagree with you on this, we all came from different homes and brought up in different ways. Its even better you attempt the exams and failed than to be absent, I tell you, you won't even try it. We are Africans so never you compare us with the White. This days, in the so called Develop world, we have underage everywhere caring guns to shoot innocent children as a result of, you can't beat them, allow them to have their way. That cannot happen here, you messed up, you get the beating of your life, then your brain will be reset. Proverbs 22:15 says it all. I'm not saying kill your children but correct them in love even when it include some strokes of the cane. My take though.
