Oluchi Onweagba in celebration of the Internal Women’s Day, she took to her Instagram to look back to how far she has come. And she did this with a throwback cover photo of her Forbes Africa Magazine cover.
“On this International Women’s day, allow me to pause and give myself a good hug,” she began. “I was ruthlessly ambitious. Crazy risk taker. Gentle Giant. ‘High Lander’ When Africa wasn’t a cool “thing” I stood for it and still fighting for her in my little GREAT way.”
She continued, noting the challenges she faced on her path, “My only issue, I am always way ahead of my time. Didn’t know been ahead, shakes tables and brings about Enemies…!!!! But if you understand I was born and proudly raised in Surulere, you will know I was built in the system. My roots are solid. ✊🏾 #HIWD2019 FBF ❤️ to@forbeswomanafrica for the acknowledgment, I’m humbled…! @maiatafo we did it. Red suit never look so good.”
