Man imitating the Emir of Kano with a verified Instagram page, CAUGHT

A 20-year-old man was reportedly apprehended by the Kano State Police Command for allegedly impersonating Kano's emir Muhammadu Sanusi II online. The gentleman who is very active on social media, claimed to be Kano's Emir Sanusi on Instagram with 262,000 subscribers - he reported that he uses the verified Instagram page to deceive members of the public. The young man has been arrested after months of human hunting and is currently assisting the police to investigate. It should be remembered that last year, Kano's emir, Muhammadu Sanusi II, disavowed all open social media accounts on his behalf. The emir said in a statement that he never allowed any person or organization to open on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media account, nor post a message on his behalf - he did so by his chief of staff, Alhaji Munir Sanusi. He explained that the effect should dampen the string of calls and inquiries at Emir Sanusi's office about alleged malicious and fake social media accounts on behalf of the monarch. Emir Sanusi noted that the current development came after an infomercial denied a fake Facebook and Twitter account created in the name of His Highness. He regrets that the fraudsters remained implacable in their infamous acts. ...
“We have officially notified the administrators of the fake Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts requesting that the accounts be closed immediately in addition to detecting the identity of the culprits.
“It is important to reiterate that the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has persistently stood for the unity of the nation regardless of its diversity.
“He always emphasise the need for tolerance and respect for one another.”
