BE INSPIRED : Jessica Cox Becomes The First Licensed Armless Pilot, She Flies Plane With Her Legs

Jessica Cox is the world's first licensed pilot without hands, as well as the first black belt carrier in the American Taekwondo Association. He was born in Arizona without a hand because of a rare birth defect. Jessica Cox graduated from the University of Arizona in 2005 with a degree in psychology and juvenile communication. Cox flew for the first time through the aircraft on Wright Flight. After three years of training, Cox gained a pilot's certificate on October 10, 2008, and was trained to fly 10,000 feet high at a light sports airplane. She received her flight training through the Able Flight scholarship and soloed under the Parrish Traweek instruction. At age 10, Cox began training at taekwondou at school in his hometown of Sierra Vista. At 14, he earned his first black belt. While at college at the University of Arizona, Cox began his taekwondo learning at the Taekwondo American Club at the campus. In an effort to help future students without using weapons, the instructors have created the entire training program by changing the standard material from the ATA. Since then, Cox has begun to earn the second and third degree black belts in ATA. Cox also won the 2014 Arizona State Champion title in the forms. It should be noted that it did not compete in a special ring of ability. Her certificate for a sports pilot is for the ERCO 415-C Ercoupe, which was designated by the Federal Aviation Administration as a light sports airplane. Designed in the 1940's, Ercoupe was built without a pedal rudder. Instead, the rudder is interconnected with ailerons through the jar. This unique design allows Cox to control one-legged jockey airplanes while the other clutch controls gas.
