Netflix, has announced that the next season of popular political drama’House of Cards’ will be its last after its main actor, Kevin Spacey, was accused of sexual harassment by Anthony Rapp.
Rapp disclosed the events that transpired between him and Kevin in an interview with Buzzfeed news on Sunday. Rapp said Kevin harassed him sexually after a party at Spacey’s apartment in 1986.
Anthony said, Spacey picked him up, put him on the bed and climbed on top of him. In an attempt to “seduce” him (Rapp). He said “I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually. My stomach churns. I still to this day can’t wrap my head around so many aspects of it. It’s just deeply confusing to me.”
In his reaction to the allegation, Spacey apologised to Rapp on Twitter, saying “I honestly do not remember the encounter, but if I did behave then as he describes, I owe you the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour”.
Netflix expressed their stance on the rape saga on Monday, in a statement by Netflix’s Spokesperson saying “In response to last night’s revelations, executives from our company and Media Right Capital arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported. As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time.” ... spill TEA.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
